To be able to process your order without any delay and to reduce misdelivered sizes you will find single field explanations below

When ordering an Irish dance shoe at Celtic Dance World you will be asked different things to find out a matching model size. Please fill or select as much form fields as you can to provide us with all needful information. On group orders ask each single group member in advance, please.

Thank you very much for your support!
Your common street shoe size:
This is the most important reference to determine the correct size of a shoe model which can vary from your street shoe size. So we need your most/common street shoe size (but not the size of sports shoes, trainers or Jazz tap shoes because they are always different as well as not the desired order size which can vary from your street size!!!). If you are between two sizes, select the larger size as your common street shoe size. Example: You usually wear street shoes in size UK 5 (EU 38) as well as in size UK 5.5 (EU 38.5). Please select size UK 5.5 (EU 38.5) as your common street shoe size. We will find out the right order size.

If you feel unsure with the size or if you are not sure if you have narrow, normal or wide(r) feet, please feel free to send us your foot traces from both feet by letter post (not by Email, no scanned foot traces, please). It's really easy to acquire them by using our guideline.
Mandatory!
Dancers Foot Width:
Copyright Celtic Dance World Frank Decker e.K.Please select the foot width of the related pair. Just take our example picture on the right side as reference. Because there are only a few dance shoe models in different widths availabe we need this information to find out the correct model size for the above requested street shoe size in combination with your foot width.

Please note that some shoe model are not suitable for wide(r) feet. Please always compare with information in our item descriptions. E.g. Fays jig shoes are a "no go" for wide feet i.e. Only a few show dancers with wide feet ordered them from us (ouch!).
Mandatory!
Name(s on group orders):
Please fill out with the names of the dancers which should wear this new pair in case of group orders. This will help us too to put the right shoe pair to the right person and in case of further and later requests. We will note the names and related sizes for possible further orders.
I've tried on/worn this(!) model already and would like to have it again. The invoice stated/Shoe sole is printed with size:
Only in the case that you exactly know the needed model(!!! not street shoe) size, you can select it here. If you know the exact model size just go ahead and ignore the fields except from street shoe size and foot width.

You can only know the exact model size if you have
  • already worn/danced in/tried on exactly this(!) shoe model in the selected size (here) and if you would like to have a new pair of this model again or
  • tried on exactly this model from a friend and they have fit well or where just a half size too small/large
Otherwise you won't know the model(!!!) size. Please also note that the street shoe size can vary from model size and usually will do!

If you will not find the size in this sizing list, we will not be able to deliver the required size können, e.g. this size is not available (any longer).
Currently worn/tried model + size:
If you have not tried on/danced/worn especially this model but another Irish dance shoe model, please let us know the brand, model name and size (e.g. Pacelli Superflexi 6.5, or Boyne Walk Reel Comfort 3). This information will make it easier for us to find out the right size for you. Thank you!
Dance frequency?
Select the level or how long and/or how often the wearer of this new pair is dancing. This info will affect to the order size too because intermediate dancers may need a half or a full size smaller than new dancers i.e.
Yes, with squared-off tip-fronts!
Selectable on Fays jig shoes only!

Please select if you need the pair with a flattened / squared-off tip at the front side. This field is activated in default because the majority of orderers are Ladies whose tip-fronts and those of dance instructors should always be squared-off for making toe stands, toe walks and many other intersting things with these shoes.

All other brands will have flattened tip-fronts as default what cannot be selected or deselected. Gents usually do not need squared-off tip-fronts, teachers excepted.
